ABOUT THE CIRCUSSTROOM CLASS FORMAT
Our Circusstroom is for young people who want to train with greater dedication. They want to improve their acrobatic skills, develop their creativity, and learn to perform on stage as part of a fixed group. Through this program, you’ll have the opportunity to discover whether a professional circus career is right for you. Throughout the circus year, you’ll come together several times for full-day production group training sessions (always on Sundays). You’ll work toward a final performance where all participants can showcase their talents as circus artists.
Creation & technique
At Circusstroom, we view the creative aspect as a form of inner development and enrichment. We draw out, nurture, and challenge what lies within each student. The young people are given the confidence and time to develop at their own pace. In addition, we encourage them to find their own ways of executing techniques. This allows them to identify with the circus community, in their further studies, and in their future lives.
Instructors Therese & Korneel closely monitor each student’s personal progress. This is important, for example, to prevent injuries or to determine the right timing for the next step in their circus training.
