I want to do circus…

1. What classes can I take?

Ell Circo D’ell Fuego offers circus classes for children, teens and adults. From 4 to 99 years old. An overview of our classes and vacation workshops can be found on this website under the menu item I want to do circus. You can filter by age, circus technique and/or class location. Click on the class that appeals to you and find out all about it.

2. How can I enroll?

You can enroll through our online registration tool. If you do not have a login alreaude, you must register first. Enter your information and/or that of the student you wish to enroll. Based on the info you enter, our registration tool provides you with an overview of the classes you can (still) register for. Check the desired class, choose your payment plan and don’t forget to click ‘confirm’. If your class of choice is full, you can also register on the waiting list via our registration tool. It is not possible to reserve a place for one of our classes by mail or phone.

3. Am I entitled to a discount?

It very well could. We are doing our best to present different social measures. Most of these measures can be combined with each other. This way we want to be a circus school open for everyone who wants to join.

4. What is the difference between lesson and membership fees?

The membership fee is 30 euros. You pay that sum once a year (July 1 to June 30). If you are a member, you are insured during training and any ECDF activity you attend. Moreover, you can use our accommodation and our enthusiastic coaching during free training (18+) throughout the year.

The lesson fee depends on the class.

5. I already signed up for a vacation workshop during the school year. Why do I have to pay membership fees again for a vacation workshop during the summer break?

Because once a year we have to set the counter to 0. And we do that on June 30 each year. The advantage is that, as an existing member, you get priority in enrolling for the next school year and thus a better chance of securing a spot in one of our popular circus classes.

6. When do the classes start?

Classes will start in the second half of September. For the 2025-2026 school year, classes will start on September 22, 2025. The school year will end on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

7. When will classes not take place?

Circus classes do not take place during the school vacations* and holidays listed below:

* School vacations always start on Monday. So the weekend before a school vacation there is always circus class!

8. What do I bring to circus class?

Please provide loose, athletic clothing with pants without zippers or buttons. We usually train on stockings or bare feet. Gymnastics shoes with flexible soles are also welcome. Watch out! You will be sweating during class. So be sure to bring a water bottle!

9. I want to do circus but can’t pay the lesson fee. What do I do now?

Ell Circo D’ell Fuego does not want to be a school only people who can pay for it can attend. Therefore, we do our best to offer different social measures. Most of these measures can be combined with each other. This way we want to be a circus school open for everyone who wants to join.

Furthermore, within our registration tool you can choose to pay in 3 parts. Or you can select ‘custom payment plan’. In that case, please contact us at info@ecdf.be and we will work with you to determine the best way to spread out your registration payment. This can be done in several parts, or perhaps even monthly.

 

10. Where to find documents for support from the health insurance fund.

You can find it in your account within our member system, under the certificates menu.

11. Can I get a tax certificate for my child’s participation?

Yes! At the end of the school year, all students under 12 years old automatically receive a tax certificate for child care that you can take into account in your tax return. We send these tax certificates by email. It is helpful if you add our email address (info@ecdf.be) to your contacts. This way you reduce the chances of the tax certificate ending up in your spam folder.

I want to make circus…

1. Can I come train with you without taking classes?

Sure! When there are no classes or workshops scheduled in our training hall in SPRK, we open our space to artists free of charge. This way we create a powerful cross-pollination between young and established artists. All you need to do is reserve a spot in advance.

2. Do you also provide residencies for artists?

Every year we give a few recent graduates the chance to enter our Start-up Lab. That’s a paid internship that supports young circus professionals as they leap – or somersault – toward a professional career. We offer them both business and artistic tools they can use to work out a healthy and focused career. In addition, they step into an artistic research with a coach from another artistic field who guides them in working out a final product.

3. What other kind of support do you offer?

In addition to space and residencies, we also offer business support to artists. We take on the role of referral partner towards existing institutions. We ourselves have built up a broad network of professional supporters. When artists have specific questions, we show them the way to the institutions within that network that can help them. That way they always have access to the most specialized help and up-to-date information. At the same time, we ensure that the partners involved can also develop towards the needs that are emerging within the sector. Are you in need of this kind of support?
