ECDF is building a safe circus community. We have a SAFE TEAM to help us out with that.
Find out how we are committed to safety in 1001 ways.
Did an accident happen during circus class or training? Ah, too bad. The trainer will give you a certificate you have to take with you when you visit the doctor. Please fill out our online reporting tool immediately after your doctor’s visit. We will then contact you as soon as possible to go over the next steps. We use the data you provide us with to monitor and – where necessary – adjust our safety policy.Take me to the online reporting tool
Circus accidents are quite specific. Which is why they require a specific First Aid policy. Within Ell Circo D’ell Fuego, Inne & Wim Verheyen develop our First Aid Policy in a Circus Setting.
The Integrity Contact Person (ICP) is the first point of contact for anyone who has a question, comment, complaint or other message related to transgressive behavior, such as bullying or discrimination, and physical and sexual integrity. The ICP listens to your question or story and handles your report in confidence. He/she refers you to the right instances if necessary or provides you with advice on possible next steps.

Jente is a trainer as well as a prevention consultant. Say what?
He investigates where the risks are within our organization and at our locations.
Along with the rest of the SAFE team, he devises
inventive actions to avoid these risks.
Do you have a question for Jente? You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thomas is regularly seen flying in our training hall. On the trapeze, that is. But not without checking that the equipment used meets all safety requirements. Every year he makes sure that the inspection of our equipment runs smoothly. Do you have a question for Thomas? You can reach him at email@example.com.
Inne is the trainer of the Préparation Physique Class. She teaches acrobats to make their bodies stronger, more flexible and healthier. She is also our inhouse physical therapist, and she sets out our health and First Aid policy. Do you have a question for Inne? You can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wim is an ECDF volunteer from the very beginning. He is a regular at our activities and events. He always brings his first aid kit with him. Wim was an emergency caregiver for many years, so he always knows immediately what to do in case of circus accidents. Together with Inne (also his daughter) he works on our First Aid Policy Do you have a question for Wim? You can reach him at email@example.com.

ECDF’s SAFE team is a cheerful, slightly pleasantly disturbed, gang building a safe circus community from within ECDF. Every two months, SAFE team members meet to discuss important safety topics and create new inventive ideas.
Every year we have our circus equipment officially inspected by Aca vzw. The inspection is a quality control and an important basis for the safety of our acrobats. Are you interested in our latest inspection report? You can read it online.
