Artists and companies can use this residency to prepare for a performance or to further develop and hone their technique.

Training spaceThis formula can vary from 2 days to a week. Within that period, we can provide:

Circusmakers Hanna Mampuys & Toon Van Gramberen van THERE THERE Company werken aan een voorstelling gebaseerd op partneracrobatiek (acro-porté) en dans, die gaat over samenwerken, dragen en gedragen worden. They will dock at Circushaven for an open training day and an audition workshop.
Korneel and Lisa from Duo NU will perform their show ‘Image’ on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at De Roma. They will be rehearsing at the Circushaven for this home match.
Jakobe Geens is working on a performance called ‘Rebirth’ about the different stages of rebirth. She is exploring how she can use circus techniques to depict a moment of absolute disconnection.
During MAD Festival, Iliana will perform her show (H)oops again. She will moor at the Circushaven for a technical rehearsal focusing on rigging.
In August 2026, Cirque Mechanique’s Walvisvaarders (Whalers) will premiere during Theater op de Markt. In the weeks leading up to this premiere, we will provide training and rehearsal space.
At Circushaven, we offer technical residencies for both creative and performing artists. Selection is based solely on availability and stated need.
