This July, clowns from Belgium and abroad will tap into their sense of humor during our intensive Summer Clowning Course with Sven Verelst. Over the course of four weeks, they’ll learn to channel their inner inspiration and creativity. Clowning is hard work: it involves transforming humor and vulnerability into theatrical power. Clowning is also a form of release. The challenge: playing who you are, not who you’d like to be.

And then, of course, there’s the audience. The participants learn to listen and build rapport. Giving attention to get attention. What if they don’t laugh? What if we hit our limits? What if we fail? Can we work through that too? And how will the audience react then?
