Why are we hosting a preview?
Preview performances are an important tool for artists working on a show or act. They receive immediate feedback from the audience – laughter, applause, a silence – which helps them to continue refining their creative process. At the same time, as a member of the audience, you get the chance to attend a show-in-the-making for free. And a unique insight into how such a show comes to life.
About RISE
RISE gaat over worsteling, veerkracht en de strijd die we met onszelf voeren. In haar tweede voorstelling verkent Aurore de kracht van de klappen die het leven uitdeelt, het gewicht van obstakels en het onverzettelijke verlangen om weer op te staan. Ze ontwikkelt daarbij een eigen bewegingstaal waarin hedendaagse dans, acrodans en slam poetry samenkomen.
About CIE DES CROCS DANS LES YEUX – Aurore Allo
Aurore Allo studied Contemporary Dance at the Royal Conservatoire in in Antwerp. She then went on to specialise in acrobatics and acrodance (including with Femmes de Crobatie). In 2015, she co-founded Collectif Tastous, and in 2019 she established CIE DES CROCS DANS LES YEUX. She has worked internationally as a performer with companies such as Ex Nihilo, Triodo, Trans and others, and has developed an artistic practice that combines diverse dance styles with floor acrobatics and vocal work.
Practical information
📅Sunday 19 July from 16:00 (doors open from 15:30). The preview itself will last around 20 minutes. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to give feedback.
