1. Ravinder Naipal – Freely fallen
In Freely fallen, Ravinder explores how a movement arises as a sensation that leads you to break a physical stillness in your body. He sets out from a poem through which he shares what is going through his mind. During several intensive coaching days with circus artist Jef Kinds, he aims to explore how he can link his movements so that they form, as it were, a single flowing line. And he will reflect on how he can reinforce both his poem and his message through acrobatics and body language.
We are supporting this artist with coaching at Het Gravenhof as part of his Springplank program.
2. Sian & Ramona – Nor, Ni, Noch
Starters Sian & Ramona are returning to Antwerp to continue working on Nor, ni, noch. They will further develop the artistic direction of their performance for young children, drawing on, among other things, the input from the experimental workshops they organized during the MAD Festival.
We are supporting these artists through our START-UP LABO with a residency at Het Gravenhof. Powered by the National Lottery.
3. Unati – Androgyny
A coming-out, a rebirth, an explosion, a cry of rage and love, a rebellion, a rumbling, redemption. With Androgyny, Anthony Weiss, of the Franco-Belgian circus company Unati, explores a personal, autobiographical story. The performance traces the transformation of a gender-fluid person through childhood memories. With a blend of aerial acrobatics, dance, and a live DJ set, Anthony sets out to uncover a hidden femininity that has long been stifled and urgently demands to be expressed.
We are supporting this artist by providing circus-related support as part of a residency program organized by Arenberg and De Klap. Starting in the summer of 2026, De Klap will become the new home base for our Circushaven in Deurne.
4. Compagnie des crocs dans les yeux – RISE
In RISE, Aurore Allo of Compagnie des crocs dans les yeux lays bare inner struggles. She creates a performance about the power of setbacks and the desire to always get back up. She does so through a combination of contemporary dance, poetry, and floor acrobatics—to illuminate a path toward resilience. For everyone who has ever had to fight to move forward.
We are supporting this artist with a creation residency at De Klap, the new home base of our Circushaven in Deurne.
5. Cirque Mecanique – De Walvisvaarders
Echo the Whale is searching for friendship and connection. He moves through the streets during a playful circus parade full of chaos and energy. Three acrobatic adventurers move along with him. They reveal their greatest ocean secrets in a visual story full of humor and wonder. The street, the neighborhood, and the passing crowd set the rhythm and the atmosphere. Who’s coming along on the underwater journey?
Want a sneak peek? Cirque Mécanique is planning a few preview performances of this show during Circus Boelaere.
We are supporting this company with a circus technique residency at De Klap, the new home of our Circushaven in Deurne.
6. Crias – Homúnculo
Sometimes it feels as though we are alone on the world stage. What happens when the last two beings on earth find themselves in the same space? Can they connect and create something meaningful together in a world where isolation is the norm? With Homúnculo, Rafael Gonzalez and George Swattridge of Crias invite the audience to reflect on the importance of connection. Two bodies explore the space between them through hand balancing, dance, and neutral mask techniques.
We are supporting this company with a creative residency at De Klap, our new home base in Deurne. We are also providing coaching on scenography at the Cirque Mecanique studio at Stormkop.
