We are becoming a circus workspace

At the end of November, we received notification that the Flemish Government will recognize us as a circus workspace from 2026 onwards.

That’s good news because it means we can start rolling out our new mission and vision from January onwards. What does all this entail? We asked some young people, trainers, artists, and volunteers from our organization to briefly explain what we have in mind. And above all: why it’s so important.

As you could already hear and see, we are becoming a circus haven for artists of all kinds. A vibrant environment where they can drop anchor (again and again). To learn, to create, to connect with each other. So that they can get the best out of themselves every time they pass through. Mission: check!

How are we going to do that?

What exactly are we going to do?

All sorts of things! We are already eager to get started. However, due to budgetary constraints, we are receiving less funding than anticipated to carry out all our plans, so we are also looking at how we can delay some things, where we can find additional funding, etc. There are also various sector players who, due to the same budgetary constraints, have had to make savings or have even been left out of the subsidy round altogether. Together with them—and other sector players—we are investigating how we can still provide them with optimal support.

One thing is certain: the new year will bring us many new challenges. Let’s go🔥🔥🔥
