5 upcoming projects in the Circushaven

We have been an official circuswerkplaats for just over a month now. It’s high time to introduce you to the next five trajectories we are supporting!

1. There There Company & fABULEUS – Oui.Non.Attention

Circus makers Hanna Mampuys & Toon Van Gramberen from THERE THERE Company are working on a performance based on partner acrobatics (acro-porté) and dance, which is about working together, carrying and being carried. They do this in collaboration with fABULEUS. In the fall of 2025, they had already been guests in our training room for a training day. Another audition workshop will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2026.

We support this company with a technical residency focused in our training room at SPRK

2. Monki Business – Uitkijkers

Op 9 februari meert het Nederlandse circusgezelschap Monki Business aan in onze Circushaven! They will be working on a third performance in a trilogy about optimism, drawing inspiration from, among other things, the open-mindedness of children during a fully booked workshop on Tuesday, February 17. Uitkijkers will premiere during MAD Festival in April 2026.

We support this circus company with a creative residency at the Blikfabriek.

3. DUo Nu – Image

Korneel Willem and Lisa Patoor will soon be playing a home game during Circus at De Roma on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15. They will be performing their show Image and will be paying a quick visit to our training hall at SPRK the week before for a quick refresher rehearsal. Psst: on Sunday, February 15, De Roma will open its doors a little earlier for a free circus initiation with our crew!

We support this circus company with a technical residency in our training room at SPRK.

4. Jakobe Geens – Rebirth

Jakobe Geens is collaborating with musician/artist/theater maker Naser Falah on Rebirth, a performance about the different stages of rebirth. Among other things, she is exploring how she can shape a moment of absolute disconnection through hair hanging.

We support this artist with a technical residency at Het Oude Badhuis.

5. Sian & Ramona

Circus Maken, Start-up Labo, Sian & Ramona

In March, we welcome Sian & Ramona back to the START-UP LABO at our Circushaven. They will continue working on their show Nor Ni Noch and on building a healthy foundation for their circus careers.
