About our Specialization Class Cyr Wheel

In the Specialization Class Cyr Wheel you have to be willing to spin your head right round, right round. Cyr Wheel or Roue cyr is an acrobatic device consisting of a single large ring. It owes its name to Daniel Cyr, who reinvented it as a circus device in the late 20th century.

In the Cyr Wheel, you combine diverse skills. It is a mix of object manipulation, balance and acrobatics. Do you feel like developing and training those skills? And to turn the world upside down once in a while? Then you’ve come to the right place in this class.

 

What do I bring with me to class?

Loose, athletic attire with pants without zippers or buttons and gymnastics shoes (flexible sole). Watch out! You will be sweating during class. So be sure to bring a water bottle!

You don’t need your own wheel, there are plenty of them available in class.
