About our Specialization Class Cyr Wheel
In the Specialization Class Cyr Wheel you have to be willing to spin your head right round, right round. Cyr Wheel or Roue cyr is an acrobatic device consisting of a single large ring. It owes its name to Daniel Cyr, who reinvented it as a circus device in the late 20th century.
Using the Cyr Wheel, you will need to combine a diverse set of skills. It is a mix of object manipulation, balance and acrobatics. Do you feel like developing and training these skills? And would you like to to turn the world around every once in a while? Then this class is right up your alley!
What do I bring with me to class?
Loose, athletic attire with pants without zippers or buttons and gymnastics shoes (flexible sole). Watch out! You will be sweating during class. So be sure to bring a water bottle!
You don’t need your own wheel, there are plenty of them available in class.
Want to take a trial class?
Not quite sure if this class is for you? There’s only one way to find out: come over and join us for a trial lesson! This does not necessarily have to happen at the start of the circus year. It is possible all year round. All you have to do is let us know you will be joining us by sending an email to info@ecdf.be. Got the circus bug after your trial class? Then you can enroll through our online enrollment tool.
