About this three-day intensive <\/h2>\n

An intensive for performers who wish to deepen their physical practice and explore the possibilities of parkour within a domestic and theatrical context.<\/p>\n

This intensive is a period of exploration within the creation of ROOM, a new performance in which Kasper Vandenberghe and Matt McCreary physically explore the tension between chaos and structure, control and letting go. It is precisely this tension that will be at the heart of the performance. Parkour has its roots in public space and urban architecture. For ROOM, this language is transposed into an intimate, domestic setting.<\/p>\n

During this intensive course, we will explore how we can make that transition. Through parkour, slapstick, domino effects and playful tensions between chaos and structure, we will explore the relationship between the body and matter.<\/p>\n

Chairs, tables, lamps and other everyday objects shift from being passive props to active counterparts on stage. The focus is on physical exploration, risk, timing, falling, getting back up and developing material<\/strong> through the direct interaction between body and object.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div> \n
