ABOUT WHEEL JAM ANTWERP
After 3 successful Wheel Jams, we are organizing an entire weekend dedicated to the wheel. On Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, you can come turn everything upside down for a while during Wheel Jam Antwerp at ECDF’s training hall in SPRK (Park Spoor Noord). You will discover all that you can get out of a Cyr wheel or a German wheel.
For two days, we provide customized workshops for our participants. And we once again invite some impressive guest trainers. Afterwards, there will be time and space for free wheeling. Saturday night we will close with wheel-related shows.
There will also be: a DJ with a turntable, pizza for dinner and so much more. Be there, or be square!

THORNE BAILEY
Thorne Bailey is a cyr wheeler from the UK. He trained in London at The National Centre for Circus Arts before taking a year out to work as a Physiotherapy assistant. He finished his Bachelors at Circomedia in Bristol a year later. He has worked with companies such as Simple Cypher, Frantic Assembly, and Barely Methodical Troupe .
JOSEPHINE SOMERVILLE
Josephine Somerville begon haar carrière als performer toen ze 4 was. From her grandparents’ porch where she sang the entire soundtrack to The Sound of Music. Ten years later, she lost her heart to circus. She studied Neuroscience in college, but her love of the circus proved to be stronger. Earlier this year, she completed the ProTrack program at the New England Center for Circus Arts. There she specialized in tippy lyra and German wheel. This summer she is touring the Netherlands. After that, she plans to further immerse herself in the European circus scene.
